It has been a great honor to partner with clients and teach movement for the past 27 years. From Hi-impact aerobics in the 1980’s to present day Pilates, I have loved all of it.

When I discovered Pilates…

While participating in a karate class with my daughter, I became injured and unable to live a regular life for almost six months. As a mother of three young children, this was not supposed to happen. During my rehabilitation I discovered Pilates. It required great concentration and whole body awareness which was very challenging. After completing my degree in Health and Wellness Promotion, I enrolled in a rigorous Pilates teacher training program at Tensile Strength Studio in Barrington, IL. The Pilates training entailed extensive study, observation, research, and practice with many Pilates master teachers. I then tested and passed the Pilates Method Alliance Certified Pilates Teacher exam in 2012.

Through continuing education, I have had the pleasure of studying with a variety of well-known Pilates Master teachers and developed a diverse Pilates repertoire with a balanced approach to meet the needs of each unique client. I enjoy attending workshops and communicating with Pilates teachers from around the world. Most recent being a one year mentorship studying under Wendy LeBlanc-Arbuckle.

In addition to being a Certified Pilates Teacher, I am a certified Personal Trainer and Certified Group Fitness Instructor (since 1991) including Indoor Cycle and Tabata bootcamp. My focus is teaching Pilates because the method works. When people are consistent with their Pilates practice they are not downed by injuries or illness. Pilates is the best method.

As life continues well into middle age I remain strong, active, and confident a quality, independent life will be my future. Partnering with clients to discover whole body awareness and to better enjoy life is a great pleasure. I look forward to each and every day.
